The Ways of Kinship
As you participate in Kinship circles, gatherings, or coaching sessions, you are invited to explore the following five “Ways of Kinship” as guiding orientations.
Put simply, this is a chance to explore what happens when we show up for each other differently.
These are ways of seeing, of relating, and of orienting ourselves to find our place within a larger story and context. Each can be a “healing movement,” that can restore and balance things that are overlooked and de-emphasized in current Western culture. They connect us with larger aspects of life that can fuel change and growth efforts.
This is an invitation to move from individualistic “I will drive change” leadership to a kinship orientation, where we ask:
- How can I be in service to this person and the group uncovering hidden treasures and growing into their full potential?
- How might I and we connect to all kinds of resources that can support work on changes we care about?
- How can we create a community that has abundant flows of resources and opportunities?
- How can we grow our collective capacity to heal, co-create, and learn together?
Watch the videos below to learn more about each.
We will explore how living these ways out together can be fertile soil for possibilities beyond what we can imagine.
The Ways of Kinship are a suite of organic living processes that reinforce each other. They may evolve over time as the community lives into them and learns.
