The Leading Collaborative Change Program
A Six-Month Action-Learning Program for Experienced Social Change Leaders
Experienced social change leaders don’t need lectures about what needs to change – you need better support in how to make that change happen, grounded in your specific context. And that comes through learning-in-practice over time alongside a community of peers, with skillful facilitation that guides you to wise action.
You’ll join a group of six leaders from across the social change landscape, learning a range of approaches to address your current challenges and fulfill your deeper aspirations – for yourself, your organization, and the people and communities you serve.
Leading change in times of heightened intensity and complexity requires both enhanced self-reflection and stronger communities of support. You’ll receive individual coaching and experience what is possible in a trusting group that can activate “collective intelligence.”

How This Will Work
The group meets in person monthly on a week-day for six months. The workshops are experiential, complemented by pre-reading and follow-up resources. There are 2-3 hours of homework a month, including personal reflection and conversations with peers.

What You’ll Learn
You’ll learn practical methods for navigating change, including how to:
- Stay true to vision and find strategic clarity in times of complexity and uncertainty
- Map systems and identify resources that can be activated
- Transform resistance, tensions, and conflicts to free up what stalls forward movement
- Work through the unique challenges of endings, transitions, and new beginnings
- Listen in ways that people feel understood and support colleagues to find the next right step in complicated situations
- Facilitate groups so people can do their best thinking and strengthen trust and morale
Prior to the first workshop, each participant will have a one-on-one session with the facilitator to clarify your particular needs and goals, which will be used to finalize the topics and activities.
